The
evenings
have a slight chill,
as the leaves are turning crimson and gold. In autumn we gather with
friends and family to enjoy our favorite feasts, music, dancing and
games of skill. Our thoughts turn to giving thanks for the bounty we so
freely enjoy. The American tradition of coming together as a community
to give thanks and to share the
blessings of our Lord . . . lives on in the St. Michael’s
Fall Festival.
Starting Friday October 24th, 2008 St. Michael’s
Parish
will kick off the Third Annual Fall Festival. This is a family event
with something for
everyone in the parish. Imagine the best block party you have ever been
to and join us for this two day event. The Fall Festival will include
multiple types of tasty ethnic cuisine, a beer garden and
tasty desserts. Games, Games, Games . . . there will be over 18 game
and activity booths. We’ll have a variety of
entertainment,
including the Fabulous Mar Dels on Friday night, another soon to be
announced band on Saturday night, a DJ to keep things hoppin' in
between and other exciting entertainment. Stayed tuned....
The Festival will be held Friday Oct 24th
and Saturday Oct 25th on the parish grounds. The fun begins
Friday
evening at 5:00 PM and continues to 10:00 PM. On Saturday,
the
Festival will run from noon till 10:00 PM. A
schedule of
each day's events
can be found on the Program
page.
The Festival is open to all St. Michael's parishioners, their
families, and their friends. Admission is free.
